DUBAI SEVENS.... only the most popular sports weekend in Dubai. Three days entirely devoted to Rugby 7's all going on 6 different pitches out in the middle of the desert. People all costumed up in fancy dress, drinking, and watching Rugby. What better way to spend a weekend?!!?

We played one match the first day-easy win, a couple the second, and then got out in the Semi Finals. Normally we would have made it, and gone to the finals to play the Dragons once again from Jebal Ali, the usual one-two, but this time, somehow Abu Dhabi snuck in there. Shocking.

We sat through our fines session... as it appeared I was one of the top offenders (getting fines through the season recorded in the fine book for dumb things you do or say all leading up to one fine "drinking" session post tournament).... but in the end it was a great weekend and we celebrated while watching the other national teams play.
